»flex«, komet's second cd on rastermusic, follows on seamlessly from the first release. although the tracks are more straight and less whirring than on the predecessor »saat« (exception: the polyrhythmic, vibrating title track), the sounds are more sophisticated. the somehow hardly melodic two-note fragments were even more reduced, but without making the music inaccessible. even if the tracks begin so strange and tricky like, for instance, »stop« or »pol«, a familiar groove turns up soon. despite the clearness, komet always guarantees a pleasant, relaxed flow between trip and electro - abstract hypnotic pop. and the track »trakt« reminds somehow of popcorn.
