after 10 years at rome's villa massimo and a guest appearance in peterhof (RU) last year, the electric campfire at hellerau marked the beginning of a new phase of this very special electronic sound night. a reconstruction of the »appia stage« as it was originally conceived by adolphe appia and alexander von salzmann was the setting for live performances by atom™, frank bretschneider, grischa lichtenberger, kyoka and robert lippok. the event was opened by special guest retina.it, and accompanied by hybrid sets by dasha rush and opium hum. in addition, visitors could also experience byetone's and mieko suzuki's contribution to the »raster. labor« installation, »circle x circle«, at hellerau's side stage east.

the event was presented as part of the »appia stage reloaded« festival, a tribute to laszlo moholy-nagy.
