lena andersson

lena andersson is an electronic music duo comprising japanese artist kyoka (raster) and irish artist eomac (eotrax, bedouin records).

inspired by a range of sources like the refined electronics of autechre to the raw energy of punk and breakcore, their music fuses elements of contemporary club and dance music with the avant garde and cutting edge sound design.

formed in 2016, after kyoka had remixed the music of lakker for R&S records (one of eomac's other projects), they began working on material at EMS in stockholm, utilising the buchla and serge synths as generators, creating sonic materials that would be the basis of their debut album.

in 2017 both artists toured throughout korea and japan on the first floor festival (FFF) »inspiration« tour alongside ueno maasaki (raster) and headless horseman (headless horseman). here they performed their debut live show of lena andersson at circus, tokyo with spanish visual artist alba corral.

following this tour the duo made a residency at etopia in zaragoza (where kyoka has worked on various installation projects), where they finished their first album - »söder mälarstrand« - which will be released in 2019 on olaf bender's (byetone) acclaimed raster label.
